I loved making this teapot as this is a particular shape I love to throw on the wheel and I felt the handle and lid just worked so well, I was really pleased with the outcome.
Karak Tea is a sweet, creamy, spiced tea that is typical for the middle east and we were offered this after each scuba dive we made, which was perfect for warming up and rehydrating.
The glaze was a mix of Purple Rain and Peacock Blue and I love the result, reminiscent of the purple corals I saw so many of on my diving.
It is an exquisite set to enjoy as a statement piece but it also pours well and has a functional use too, the little bowls fit snugly into your palm and you can cup with both hands to drink the tea.
