My plan with this painting was for you to experience the mesmerizing interplay of light and texture with this mixed media acrylic piece, capturing the essence of shards of ice and light.
Light holds many colours so you will find a kaleidoscope of colours if you look closely. I layered them with white - usually what we see - to try and create a rainbow of the cooler colours.
I then highlighted the bubbles caught in the ice with silver relief in minute detail, which I love the texture and look of. This piece is almost sculptural with the texture easily felt by hand.
