Musandam Cliffs
This painting was my second Musandam scene I wanted to put on canvas. The cliff face was so majestic and beautiful with the high contrast from the direct sun on the cliff, I had to see if could recreate that presence for you to enjoy.
I used mixed media, starting with an acrylic base, then using paste and sand I built up the rock face so it looks textured and gritty like the real thing.
Then I painted on top of the dry paste using my water-based oils, using a variety of warm sand tones.
The sea and sky was a balance of blues, teals and greens and I wanted to create a calm, sunny seascape but with a sense of depth and drama in the water.
This painting is 124 cms (48”) by 54cms (21”), framed and signed.
