Sasha Mayes - Marine Artist

My love of the ocean, rivers, lakes and seas stems from growing up on the Isle of Wight and sailing, snorkelling and scuba diving around the world, whilst having a career in physiotherapy and raising two boys, currently teenagers.

A self taught artist, I have painted and created all my life, but recently discovered a passion for clay, either sculpture or wheel-throwing, preferably combining all three mediums! Attending classes at the local art college and the world renowned County Hall Pottery in Waterloo, London, my style is emerging as an organic, textural artist, with a love of adventure and desire to share my experiences with you through touch and vision.
